Madeline Kaczmarczyk from Rockford, Mi has been a clay artist since 1975. She has won many awards and national recognition for her unique style. This teapot is a one of a kind, original work by Madeline. It is lime green and purple, with her floral whimsy pattern that has been beaded on to the pot. This is a collectors item.

This songbird sits atop an antique croquet ball, with a spring metal flower on her head. Adorned with various antique findings, she is stunning to watch.

Description of Techniques and Materials:

Original Painting on Paper by John Whitney

The plastic blank plate is painted by John Whitney using Charbonnel oil based etching ink. This is done suing a variety of brushes,brayers and many other tools. A dialog ensues between this artist and the work. When that phase of the process is finished, the plate is positioned on the bed of the etching press. Etching paper is then placed over the plate. The press blankets are laid on top of the paper and then hand cranked through the press. When the paper is pulled from the plate the art work is only part way along. In the next few days the painting is revisited with more ink usually by brush as one would paint a painting. Line may be added as well as pastel and other mediums. When this give and take converstion between the work and John is finished and they have said their goodbyes, the finished work of art is allowed time to dry before public viewing.
